Cruise drug case: model Munmun Dhamecha released from prison
Munmun Dhamecha’s release order was placed in the bail box outside Byculla Prison late on the evening of October 30, after the bail process was completed.
Model Munmun Dhamecha was released from Byculla Women’s Prison in Mumbai on October 31, three days after being released on bail in the cruise drug case in which she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau ( NCB) on October 3.
On October 28, the Bombay High Court granted him bail with co-accused Aryan Khan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan and Arbaaz Merchant.
On the afternoon of October 29, the HC issued its binding order imposing 14 bail conditions on Mr. Aryan Khan, Mr. Merchant and Ms. Dhamecha, stipulating their release on personal bail of ₹ 1 lakh each with one or two sureties. the same amount.
Ms Dhamecha’s release order was placed in the bail box outside Byculla Prison late in the evening of October 30, after bail proceedings were completed.
Ms. Dhamecha’s lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan said on October 31: “She was released from prison after completing all legal formalities. We are now going to apply to the NCB for permission to allow her to travel to Madhya Pradesh, as she is from there. His co-accused, Mr Merchant, who is being held at Arthur Road Prison, has not yet been released.
Mr Aryan Khan, who was also held in Arthur Road Prison after his arrest in the case, returned home on October 30.
The HC had, in its detailed order, asked Mr. Aryan Khan, Mr. Merchant and Ms. Dhamecha to appear in front of the NCB office in Mumbai every Friday between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm to mark their attendance.
On October 2, the BCN raided the cruise ship bound for Goa off the coast of Mumbai and claimed to have seized drugs on board.
