Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar provides update on progress in Dharani implementation

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has called on district collectors to speed up the elimination of pending applications for land deals over the next week.

In a meeting with district collectors held here on Saturday, the chief secretary provided an update on the progress made in the implementation of Dharani. Complimenting collectors and other senior officials on the successful implementation of Dharani, Mr. Somesh Kumar said that Dharani was a historic initiative of the state government and many states were trying to implement a similar initiative.

The CS said that more than 10.35 lakh slots have been reserved for Dharani since its launch. The government has constantly strived to speed up the processing of applications and make the process easier, he added. Collectors from Suryapet, RR, Siddipet, Nalgonda and Medak shared their experiences in handling requests. Principal Secretary (GAD) Vikas Raj, Commissioner and Inspector General of Stamps and Records V. Sheshadri, Secretary (Agriculture) Mr. Raghunandan Rao, Secretary (Health) SAM Rizvi, Director General of Telangana Stae Technical Services Venkateshwar Rao, Director Prohibition & Excise Sarfaraz Ahmed and others attended the meeting.
