He further told the media that the groom’s parents happily accepted Pooja without any dowry requests.
Sources say Masli is a man known for his social service. He organizes various events to promote community harmony. The bride expressed her gratitude, saying “I am very lucky to have such good parents who took care of me,” ANI reports.
A similar incident occurred last year when a Muslim from Maharashtra arranged the marriage of his “adopted” Hindu sisters. Bababhai Pathan of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, became the talk of the town after adopting two “orphan” Hindu women as sisters and marrying them according to Hindu customs and rituals.
